Year 5&6 Football Tournaments 26th and 27th May 2005
This year was the 2nd biggest event ever with 38 teams from 19 schools involved over 2 days at Corams Fields. On the Thursday 10 schools (who finished lower in their leagues earlier in the season) competed in the plate competition - Rhyl won both boys and girls events. The following day 9 other schools competed in the searing heat in the second competition. Both days were characterised by excellent sportsmanship and enthusiasm. New End came out overall winners in both boys and girls competitions (beating Gospel Oak in the finals of both). This makes an unprecedented 5 wins out of the 6 CSSA football competitions this year for New End (last year 5 different schools won the 6 competitions). |
