The CSSA Football league begins after half term in the Autumn Term every Tuesday. There is a northern league of 13 teams held at Talacre Sports Centre and a southern league of 13 teams held at the Sports Pitch at Richard Cobden. All schools must enter a boys and a girls teams. Typically, schools will attend 4-6pm on 8 of the 13 match nights to complete their 12 games. The top 4 teams in each league are invited to a play-off competition in early March.

CSSA Football Tournaments

The all day year 5 and 6 tournament is held at Corams Fields. It follows the same rules as the league. Boys and girls tournaments take place at the same time - 40 teams participated over 2 days in 2007.

A year 3 and 4 football tournament is held at Parliament Hill Fields every year. Schools will typically attend on one night 4-6pm and the top 8 teams will be invited back for the play-offs the following week. In 2007 twenty schools entered both boys and girls teams.
